A.I.M Drone Detection
Web Development and Digital Branding for a New Business Venture

Who is the client?
A.I.M is a UK-based drone detection and defence specialist. It supplies technological solutions aimed at preventing unwanted intrusions and potential security threats from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The company is a sister venture launched by the people behind cybersecurity firm Cyber Defence Solutions (CDS), also a client of ours. With a background working with leading enterprises, government agencies and high-net worth individuals on a wide range of digital security projects, the team at CDS had become aware of the growing concern amongst their clientele about the security and privacy threats posed by drones.
A.I.M was founded to fill a gap in the market for a trusted, experienced security specialist offering proven technological solutions and professional expertise in a rapidly evolving field.
What services did we provide?
What was their challenge?
The company wanted the new A.I.M website to mirror the look and feel of the existing CDS website, to help establish a consistent corporate identity across the two brands and also for ease of use and familiarity within the company. They wanted both sites hosted in the same place for convenience. We were happy to migrate the CDS site over to our own hosting platform.
How did we approach it?
Our first step was to sit down with A.I.M’s internal team to decide upon a clear strategy for the website. We carried out an in-depth consultation to get to the bottom of the company’s short, medium and long-term business goals, what role they saw digital playing in achieving them, and what success would look like to the company.
This allowed us to draw up a clear plan for the site’s delivery and ongoing management before we started development. In addition, by establishing strong lines of communication from the start, we had a solid basis for working in close collaboration going forward. The A.I.M team were included in the process at every stage, so we could always be sure we were delivering to their expectations.
To achieve the consistency with the CDS website required, we migrated that site over to our hosting first, and then built the new A.I.M site on the same platform.

Were there any obstacles?
How did we go above and beyond?
At the start of the project, A.I.M had a number of technical product illustrations for use on the website and the supporting marketing materials. However, as we mapped out the page requirements for the site, it became apparent that we would need additional illustrations.
In an effort to populate all the product pages with enough images, we reverse image searched the existing illustrations to find the original illustrator and sourced what we could to match the requirements. Even then we were short of some specific and unique images that we could not find anywhere, so we stepped in to offer our services to create these in-house, which A.I.M were delighted with.

What was the end result?
From an initial request for a new website, our relationship with A.I.M evolved into a comprehensive end-to-end digital marketing project, incorporating a new website, digital brochure, logo redesigns, hand-made illustrations and plugin development.
A.I.M were over the moon with the finished product and were really appreciative of the close collaboration we maintained with them throughout the entire project.
Henry Passam, the company’s Head of Business Development, commented: “We were in the market for a reliable and professional marketing company to build and maintain us two separate websites. Key Element were recommended to us and throughout the whole process, their work and attitude has been exemplary.”
