Who is the client?
Autoimage is a well-established car dealership specialising in Renault and Dacia vehicles. Having served the Carlow community for over three decades, they have built a reputation for reliability, excellent customer service, and quality vehicles. Their website plays a crucial role in their business, allowing customers to browse their latest stock of new and used vehicles and explore financing options. A well-designed and fully functional website is vital for their continued success, making it all the more important to ensure there was no disruption when their old provider terminated its services.
What services did we provide?
Key Element was responsible for the complete design and development of Autoimage’s new website. We built the website on our Lucid platform, ensuring a seamless and modern user experience. A key feature of the website was the integration of a used car feed, allowing Autoimage to easily showcase their latest stock to customers. This feature was essential in maintaining their online visibility and ensuring that customers could browse available vehicles.
In addition to the used car feed, we also developed a lightweight model showroom to highlight new Renault and Dacia vehicles. This showroom provided potential buyers with an engaging way to explore new models, making it easier for them to gather information and make purchasing decisions. Beyond these core features, we focused on creating a design that was clean, modern, and aligned with Autoimage’s brand identity, ensuring a professional and user-friendly experience for visitors.
What was their challenge?
The biggest challenge Autoimage faced was the sudden termination of services by their previous website provider. Without a new website in place, they risked losing potential customers, as their online presence plays a crucial role in attracting buyers and generating leads. The urgency of the situation meant that there was very little time to plan and develop a new website, requiring a swift and strategic approach to ensure continuity.
In addition to the time constraints, Autoimage also had a limited budget, which meant we needed to be highly strategic in our approach. We had to focus on delivering maximum value while keeping costs under control, ensuring that the final website met all of their essential needs without unnecessary expenses.
How did we approach it?
Understanding the urgency of the project, we adopted an agile approach to development, prioritising speed and efficiency without compromising quality. From the outset, we identified the most critical features that Autoimage needed to continue operating smoothly. The used car feed and model showroom were our primary focus, as they were essential for maintaining customer engagement and showcasing available vehicles.
By leveraging the capabilities of our Lucid platform, we were able to streamline the development process, ensuring a quick turnaround. We maintained close communication with Autoimage throughout the project, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments in real-time. This iterative approach allowed us to fine-tune the website while keeping the development process moving swiftly.
Were there any obstacles?
Time was the biggest obstacle in this project. With the old website provider shutting down services, there was no room for delays or setbacks. Any missteps in the development process could have resulted in downtime, leading to lost customers and potential revenue. The tight deadline required us to work efficiently, carefully managing every aspect of the project to ensure that the new website was ready in time.
Another challenge was that the client didn’t have any existing product images for the website or the model showroom pages. To address this, we sourced all necessary images from Renault and Dacia’s media libraries. By handling image sourcing, we removed the burden from the client, ensuring high-quality visuals without them needing to search for content themselves.
Despite these challenges, our team remained focused and proactive. By planning meticulously and maintaining a clear workflow, we were able to overcome the time constraints and deliver the website on schedule. Our ability to work under pressure and execute a faultless transition was key to the project’s success.
How did we go above and beyond?
At Key Element, we don’t just build websites, we create solutions that support our clients’ success. In this case, we went above and beyond by delivering the project ahead of schedule, ensuring that Autoimage experienced no downtime and could continue business as usual.
Beyond simply meeting the deadline, we also ensured that the website was modern, visually appealing, and highly functional. Despite the constraints of time and budget, we designed a site that enhanced Autoimage’s digital presence, making it easier for customers to browse vehicles and engage with the brand. Additionally, we handled the entire transition process smoothly, from domain migration to integrating key website features, making sure everything functioned flawlessly from day one.
What was the result?
The final outcome was a high-performing, professionally designed website that allowed Autoimage to continue operating effortlessly without losing any customers or revenue. The website provided a much-needed digital upgrade, with improved functionality, a fresh modern look, and a user-friendly experience.
This project was a perfect example of how Key Element can step in to provide fast, effective, and high-quality digital solutions when businesses face urgent challenges. We delivered a fully functional, modern website within a short timeframe, ensuring Autoimage’s online presence remained strong and uninterrupted. By combining strategic planning, efficient execution, and a deep understanding of our client’s needs, we successfully turned a potential crisis into an opportunity for digital growth.
With their new website in place, Autoimage is now well-positioned to continue serving their customers and growing their business with confidence.
